The Battlefield

Life is a battlefield

Blood and sorrow
Anger and frustration
Choices to hurt
Choices to help
Fervour

Destiny and fate
Strength and might
Plans that fail
Plans that succeed
Splendour

Adrenaline and haste
Stealth and treachery
Words to berate
Words to encourage
Valour

Panic and hesitancy
Warmth and security
Feelings that impede
Feelings that release
Ardour

Peace and harmony
Terror and ferocity
People to hate
People to love
Clamour

Fortune and luck
Scrapes and bruises
Angles that shadow
Angles that impress
Glamour

As life is a battlefield, so is each indrawn breath one step closer to death: not a thing to be feared. In its entirety, accepted but not dwelt on. Battles won and battles lost, everyone has something to gain. God made us all to relate to each other and to worship him. What are we doing about this?
